What is a skills bootcamp?

Skills bootcamps are intensive, full-time training programmes that take place over 8-12 weeks. Each of our programmes has been designed to unlock your full potential and equip you with the skills you need to launch your career in tech or sustainability.

Our programmes are online, with live expert instructors, interactive classrooms and mentoring support. We expect presence from learners on programme and you will need your camera on for 100% of learning hours. Not only will you learn the skills you need in the role, you’ll grow in confidence and learn about employability skills, get CV help and guidance as well as interview practice.

Generation Stories

Hear what our learners are saying

Flair

AWS re/Start programme

“I’m on a good path. There’s a lot of room for progression. I work with fascinating people. And I actually have enough money to save and invest. God willing, within the next two years, myself and my husband are looking to buy a house.”

Nakai

AWS re/Start programme

“The AWS re/Start programme offered me a way to launch a career in the booming technology industry without any prior tech experience which was a real dream come true. The curriculum not only focused on teaching core tech skills, but also the key soft skills and behavioral mindsets needed to thrive which differentiated it from other bootcamps.”

Taishan

Data Engineering Programme

“I wanted to start a career in tech but found it difficult to find places given my lack of experience, and when I came across the Generation course, I knew it’d be a perfect opportunity.”

Jacob

Data Engineering Programme

“For anyone considering applying to a Generation Bootcamp, I’d say, Go for it! Don’t worry if you don’t feel qualified – the whole point of training programmes like this is to help people who aren’t qualified yet. As long as you’re willing to work hard you will learn a lot of new skills, and everyone around you will help you through any difficulties you face.”

Hassan

IT Support Programme

“Generation changed my life and made me a better person. The tutors were amazing, they made me feel comfortable and supported me so much, I can’t thank them enough”

Mohigul

Sustainability Project Officer Programme

“When I first found Generation I thought it wasn’t real, I thought it was a scam because it was on social media. They’re an amazing team who support with everything”

Still Have questions?

How do I apply for a programme?

Navigate to the programme page in your region of the UK and select the “Apply Now” button. If there is an option to register your interest instead of to apply, this means that we are not currently receiving applications for that specific bootcamp. Please do register your interest if this is the case and we will contact you once applications are open for your chosen programme.

Is there an age limit to apply?

The minimum age can differ between programme and region. The absolute minimum age is 18 years. Please make sure to check the requirements on the programme page on the website to be sure. We do not currently hold an upper age limit for applying.

Are the programmes online or in person and how long do they take to complete?

The majority of our bootcamps are online instructor-led classes which are held via Teams. The duration and individual detail varies per bootcamp, however all are full-time, Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm, unless specified otherwise, and we would need you to be available for the duration.

I don’t live in the UK but I am interested, can I apply?

In order to be eligible for one of our bootcamps, you will need to have the Right to Work in Ireland and be resident in the catchment area for the programme you are applying to. If you do not live in Ireland, we would be unable to consider your application. Please do check our global site to see if we have opportunities in your country: https://www.generation.org/
