Do you like working outdoors in a hands-on role? Looking for an in-demand career with plenty of job and progression opportunities, while having a positive environmental impact? If yes – Solar Installer is the career for you!
The Irish solar industry is booming and the demand for skilled solar installers is rapidly growing. That means there are lots of great job opportunities on offer for you!
Competitive starting salaries of €25-35,000 per year with opportunities to quickly progress to €40-45,000 with a few years of experience.
On this 5-week programme you’ll get all the knowledge and skills you need to kickstart your career and land your first solar role.
At the end, you’ll have a guaranteed interview for the job, which we will help you to prepare for, with CV writing workshops, 1:1 mentoring and mock interviews.
Who is this programme for?
This programme is open to anyone aged 18+ who is living in or near Dublin and currently unemployed or working on a zero-hours contract.
You don’t need any qualifications or experience to apply.
We are looking for learners who:
- Enjoy working outdoors in a hands-on physical role
- Enjoy working with others in a team
- Are comfortable working at heights
- Full driver’s license preferred
What will you gain from the programme?

- Gain a QQI level 6 industry qualification, Safe Pass certificate, Working at Heights certificate & Manual Handling certificate that set you up for your first role
- Free IT support – if you need a laptop, webcam, or internet connectivity to help you access the online part of the bootcamp, we’ll provide it while you study, free of charge
- Starting salaries of €25-35k in your first role and access to future progression opportunities

Program Length
5 weeksMonday to Friday, 9am to 5pm
50% remote training, 50% in-person
Requirements
- Aged 18+
- Not in education, training, or working regularly more than 16 hours per week
- Have the legal right to work & live in Ireland - for non-EU citizens, we can only accept applications from those on a Stamp 1G Spousal (Graduate Stamp 1G Visas are not eligible) or Stamp 4 Visa
- Live in Ireland and - if applicable - is willing to relocate to commutable areas for job opportunities in employer centres
- Available for 5 weeks, and ready to start a full time role straight after the course

In your own time, complete a short online task related to the programme. Don’t worry, you don’t need to have any existing knowledge or experience to be able to complete them.
