18 new tech hires showcase Generation talent
Earlier in 2026, Dedalus hired 18 graduates from Generation Ireland across a range of technology roles, demonstrating the strength of a partnership which is focused on connecting employers with high potential individuals.
Since completing their time at Generation Ireland, the graduates have launched their technology careers with Dedalus, a leading healthcare software provider, demonstrating how the programme helps learners turn new skills into real jobs.
We are proud of this partnership which is focused on connecting employers with a diverse mix of high-potential candidates.
Partner background
Dedalus is one of Europe’s leading healthcare technology providers, supporting healthcare organisations across acute, community and integrated care in more than 38 countries. Trusted across Ireland, the UK and Europe, Dedalus technology supports almost one third of European citizens and has been recognised as Best in KLAS, by the health IT research company, for Acute Care EHR for three consecutive years.
In Ireland, Dedalus has supported a wide range of healthcare providers for over 30 years, including the HSE, with strategic healthcare software platforms that enable more efficient and effective patient care. The organisation continues to expand its presence and customer base in Ireland with a commitment in December 2025 to create 100 new jobs over the next four years, as part of a €10 million Irish expansion strategy. As a result, building a strong local talent pipeline became an important priority to support future growth.

The Challenge
As Dedalus continued to expand its presence across Ireland, the organisation identified a need to strengthen its local talent pipeline and increase representation within its Irish workforce.
With significant customer activity in Ireland and a growing portfolio of healthcare technology projects, Dedalus sought to attract talented individuals who demonstrated strong potential, adaptability, and a genuine desire to learn. The organisation recognised that technical skills can be developed over time, but finding candidates with the right mindset, motivation, and problem-solving ability is often far more challenging.
To support its growth plans, Dedalus explored alternative talent pathways that could provide access to emerging technology talent while helping build a stronger local presence.
Sam Coleman, Service Delivery Manager at Dedalus, says candidates introduced through Generation consistently demonstrated the qualities most valued by the organisation.
“What Dedalus required was people who want to learn, who want to get stuck in, who want to solve problems, and who want to help. Generation Ireland has been able to place candidates with us that have this mindset. This is hugely beneficial to us.”
—Sam Coleman, Service Delivery Manager, Dedalus
The Partnership Approach
Dedalus partnered with Generation Ireland to access motivated, new-to-industry technology talent, equipped with strong foundational technical skills and professional readiness.
One of the key benefits of the partnership was Generation’s ability to connect Dedalus with candidates who demonstrated enthusiasm for learning, strong work ethic, and the right professional mindset. Through Generation’s training programmes, candidates arrived with a solid technical foundation and an understanding of workplace expectations. This allowed Dedalus to focus on developing role-specific skills and knowledge. The partnership also supported Dedalus’ hiring process by providing access to pre-screened candidates, helping to streamline this unique recruitment requirement.
