Kingsley’s Story: A New Chapter in Data—and in Life
Kingsley (34) took part in Generation’s Data Analytics bootcamp in Ireland in 2023. He had the ambition, the drive, and the talent—but struggled to land interviews.
“The main challenge I faced was even getting a call for an interview. Not having Irish experience really held me back.”
Kingsley threw himself into the Data Analytics bootcamp, excited to learn practical, in-demand skills. What stood out most, though, was the all-around support from the Generation team—especially when it came to employability.
“Python was the most challenging part for me, but I was really excited about building dashboards with Power BI.
Generation helped me so much during my job search. They taught me how to secure interviews and prepare properly. And now, the tools I learned—like SQL—are things I use in my job every day.”
After graduating, Kingsley landed a role as a Data Engineer at Allied Irish Bank. Now embedded in a collaborative work environment, he’s thriving.
“My colleagues have been incredibly helpful. Their support has helped me grow in my role so much.”
And the learning hasn’t stopped—Kingsley is already planning his next steps.
“I’m looking forward to progressing into Business Analysis. I’m planning to sit for the exam and become a licensed business analyst.”
The impact of his new role has gone far beyond professional growth. Employment has transformed Kingsley’s everyday life.
“I’ve become financially stable. I’m now able to support my family back home—and I’ve even started saving for a mortgage.
Generation gave me the confidence and the tools I needed to build a new life. I’m so excited for what’s ahead.”
